Portimao. Lagos and Sagres.

We can’t wait to show you some of the jewels of sunny Portugal, the city’s of Lagos and Sagres. After you arrive in the port of Portimao our representative will take you a guided tour of these great locales by air conditioned bus. First on the agenda is Lagos, a historic and cosmopolitan city. You can take in the museum of archaeology with its mixture of artefacts from various centuries, with pieces as diverse as dinosaur teeth and Moorish oil lamps. Next door is the Golden Chapel of San Antonio, which has a simple façade but strikingly ornate interior of gold trim and detailed wood carvings. The area is also home to the statue of Prince Henry the Navigator, and in a darker time in Portugal’s history was a slave market.

Next up the bus will take you to panoramic Ponta da Piedade with its unforgettable view of the coastline before entering the port of Sagres, an old fishing village with a view to the Cape San Vicente. Following the tour you’ll be brought right back to Portimao so that you can move on to your next destination. Our guides are waiting for you in port as well speak!
