Upon arrival of your cruise, the guide awaits you at the port, identified with a sign. You will have the opportunity to walk quietly through Bari Vecchia, through the narrow streets of the historic district discovering its medieval architecture and Romanesque monuments.

Strolling along the Medieval Great Wall, we will be able to admire a magnificent panorama. In addition, we will arrive at the Romanesque-style Saint Nicholas Cathedral built in honor of the patron saint of Bari. The basilica, founded around the end of the 11th century AD, has been an important religious pilgrimage center for almost a millennium. We will then continue with the exterior visit of the Old Norman-Swabian Castle, the work of the Norman monarch Roger II who ordered it to be erected in 1130, although it would be destroyed shortly afterwards during the Byzantine revolts. We will then arrive at the Via Arco Basso, a typical alley showing the old city of Bari with white stone houses and small typical balconies. A typical medieval and Mediterranean neighborhood where some women still prepare "Le orechiette", a typical pasta from the region that originated precisely in this neighborhood.

At the end of the excursion, we will return to the port passing through Mercantile Square, the former seat of the Senate, where we can admire the Column of Justice, the Pineapple Fountain, the Niccolo Piccinni House and the Customs Palace.
