Combined coach and walking tour of Barcelona. Approximately 4 hours by coach and 3 hours on foot. Pick-up at the port with our private guide.

We will begin discovering Barcelona from Plaza de España and Montjuïc, with a panoramic tour of the main buildings from the 1929 International Exhibition: the central monument and Magic Fountain, the former Las Arenas bullring, the Fira de Barcelona exhibition grounds and the Palau Nacional.

We will continue towards Montjuïc, the Olympic Mountain, with a panoramic drive past Poble Espanyol, the 1992 Olympic Stadiums, the MNAC and the Miró Foundation. We will make a short stop at the Mirador del Alcalde viewpoint to enjoy magnificent panoramic views over the city and the sea. Afterwards, we will descend towards the waterfront area.

We will then continue towards the port and Barceloneta, Barcelona’s seaside district: Columbus Monument, Las Ramblas, panoramic drive through Barceloneta, exterior views of Torre Mapfre and Hotel Arts, Frank Gehry’s “El Peix” sculpture and a short walk around the Olympic Port area with views of the beaches, marina and Mediterranean Sea.

Later we will arrive at Plaza Catalunya, the meeting point between modern and historic Barcelona. From here we will begin our walking tour through the Gothic Quarter and El Born.

During the visit to the Gothic Quarter we will take an imaginary journey back in time to discover ancient Roman Barcino and some of the city’s most important medieval landmarks: Santa Eulalia Cathedral, Casa de l’Ardiaca, Sant Felip Neri Square, the Roman Temple of Augustus, Sant Jaume Square (City Hall and Generalitat Palace), King’s Square and Ángel Square.

We will continue along Argenteria Street to reach the beautiful Basilica of Santa María del Mar and stroll through some of the most charming corners of El Born district: the Montcada Palaces, Passeig del Born and the former Born Market, now transformed into a cultural center.

Approximately 1 hour of free time for lunch.

In the afternoon we will continue with Modernist Barcelona and the masterpieces of Antoni Gaudí:

• Sagrada Familia – Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece and one of the world’s most iconic monuments.
• Casa Milà – La Pedrera – One of the most impressive civil buildings of Catalan Modernism.
• Casa Batlló – Famous for its spectacular façade full of color and organic forms.
• Park Güell – A fantastic universe designed by Gaudí and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
