Our tour of Zakynthos starts in the city of Zante and will take us to our first stop in the village of Bohali, where visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the city. From there we head towards the village of Volimes, where we will have the opportunity to buy local products such as oil, honey and various handicrafts. The next stop will be the famous Shipwreck Beach, which can be photographed from above through the observation deck near the village of Anafonitria. As we are already in the village of Anafonitria, we will visit the Monastery of Panagia Anafonitria, which is our last stop.

Zante is located at the base of the Bochali hill and is at the same time the main town and port of the island. After the earthquake that destroyed the city in 1953, reconstruction work began and it now appears as a modern city that is continuously expanding inland.

Zakynthos offers many interesting things, such as the famous Agios Dionysios Church, the church of St. Dionysios, bishop of Zante and patron saint of the island, which houses the relics of the saint, the numerous museums and the characteristic Venetian-era squares of D. Solomos and St. Mark. The tiny and silent alleys, the old houses with their flowered courtyards and the enchanting scenery overlooking the bay of the city will make your tour a unique and unforgettable day.

We will depart in the direction of Bohali, a beautiful area of Zante, just outside the capital and including the charming villages of Akrotiri, Kryoneri and Varres. Bohali is known for its magnificent panoramic views that encompass the city of Zante and stretch along the blue waters of the Ionian Sea to the Peloponnese. There are many cafes and ice cream parlors here, the perfect places to stop and revel in the breathtaking views. Here you will find the Venetian castle, the nautical museum containing many artifacts from the Greek Revolution, WWI and WWII, a detailed tour of the history of the Greek Navy.

We will depart in the direction of Volimes, the most important town of Elation, the northern region of the island, which is divided into three municipalities: Kato Volimes, Ano Volimes and Messo Volimes under a single administration and is well known for the local handicrafts. In addition to the production of oil and honey, in the winter period tablecloths, centerpieces and carpets of handmade production are made. It is thanks to the craftsmanship of Volimes that Zakynthos is distinguished throughout Greece.

We will continue to the Shipwreck Viewpoint, undoubtedly the most famous visual spectacle of Zakynthos. Most visitors have already seen photos of the area before arriving on the island, as it is one of the most photographed beaches in the world. This picturesque beach gained prominence when a smuggling ship was wrecked in 1980, after hitting the rocks while trying to flee from the Greek Navy. The shipwreck is located in the middle of a beautiful white pebble bay, surrounded by cliffs and deep blue water; certainly a postcard image to immortalize our visit.

We will return to our ship for farewell.
