Our friendly, knowledgeable guide can’t wait to greet you in the port of Savona and take you on an unforgettable excursion to Santa Margherita and Portofino, two of Italy’s best-kept secrets. After meeting the guide, the tour will embark in an air conditioned bus through the Via Aurelia, the ancient Roman road which has taken travellers to Santa Margherita since time immemorial. The location is a popular resort on the Ligurian Coast, a rugged but breathtaking section of the Italian Mediterranean.

From there the tour boards a ferry to Portofino, only ten minutes ride from the coast. You’ll observe the Promontory of Mount Portofino, home to lush flora as well as forbidding rocks and solitary beaches. The boat docks in the charming Bay of Portofino, formerly a small fishing community which has grown in to a popular destination for those looking to see the hidden side of Italy. This tiny but delightful village is home to numerous colourful homes built around the town square.

Your knowledgeable guide will show you the Church of Saint George, home to several relics, as well as the ancient Brown Castle. At this point you’ll be given some time to wander the narrow streets and hidden gems of the village on your own. At the conclusion of the tour the boat will take you back to Santa Margherita, at which point our representative will personally accompany you to the embarkation point at the Port of Savona.

In our view, Santa Margherita and Portofino are two of the best destinations in a country full of them. Do pay us a visit in the near future, our guide would love to share these places with you!
