Group size:

  • Date: select
  • Duration: 5 hours
  • PRIVATE

Our 5-hour tour includes panoramic city tour of Oslo and visit to the Open-Air Museum. Departure point is from the Pier / Vessel, on your private vehicle, together with your local authorized guide. You start with an outside visit and walk around the new Opera House, which was opened in April 2008. Here you
will enjoy the stunning views across the Oslo fjord from the spectacular outdoor terrace area. The tour continues past the Akershus Fortress for a short walk and photo stop. Throughout 700 years, Akershus Fortress has played a central role in Norwegian history. As a Royal residence, centre of administration and as a military fortification, the fortress and the castle have been the stage of both mundane and dramatic events. Among other highlights, you will visit the Viking Ship Museum, with its three Viking vessels.
Next the Norsk Folkemuseum is Norway’s largest museum of cultural history. With collections from around the country, the museum shows how people lived in Norway from 1500 to the present. The Open-Air Museum contains 158 buildings from rural and urban Norway - from the Middle Ages to the 20th Century. The rest of the Open Air Museum contains post-medieval buildings from rural and urban Norway.
