This is the ideal tour for those who would like to discover the most charming and hidden corners of Mt Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe and UNESCO World Heritage, without missing the other highlights spot of Taormina, pearl of the Mediterranean Sea.

On the way to the Rifugio Sapienza, we will stop in Zafferana, where you will visit one of the most famous organic farms for a delicious tasting of typical products such as honey, wine and oil.

Once arrived at Rifugio Sapienza (1920 mtasl), you’ll have time on your own for visiting the lunar landscape or taking the cable car + special jeeps for the ascent to the smoky craters at 2900 mtasl.

Later on the way to Taormina, brief stop at the wonderful “Isola Bella”, a Wildlife Reserve considered the “Pearl of the Ionian sea” for its natural beauty, and connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand.

Arrived in Taormina, you will have some free time for a nice walk through the main shopping street “Corso Umberto” to get to the panoramic IX April Square and the Clock Tower, to continue to the Cathedral Square, the Greek-Roman Theatre as well as the Odeon and the Palace Corvaja and then if you wish the public gardens, too.

On the way back we will enjoy a stunning view of the Ionian coast of Sicily.

Option available on request: Visit and wine tasting in a local Etna winery.
