SKUDENESHAVN FROM PORT HAUGESUND
Our guide or coordinator will pick you up from the port.
We will start our tour with a stop to take some pictures at the Haugesund town hall, that is considered to be the most beautiful in Norway.
On the way to the Town Hall we will pass through the old town, an elegant area where the ship-owners lived in the 19th century. Then we will go to the charming ancient city of Skudeneshavn: a city that has around 130 white wooden houses that were typical in the 19th century when herring fishing was at its peak.
We will walk through the streets of Skudeneshavn while our guide will tell you about local stories and legends before you will have an opportunity to enjoy some free time to shop or have a coffee! Also, we will go to the Mælandsgården museum (optional visit), that will give us an idea of how the city was growing, how middle-class citizens lived and what kind of trade, industries and craftsmen shaped the city more than 150 years ago.
After we will return to the Haugesund’s port for boarding.
