Hamburg Town Hall
We’ll head directly through Hamburg’s city center and will see buildings that are uniquely hamburgian, office buildings built in the 20s, 30s and 40s of the 20th century.
Next stop is the Town Hall, a neo-enaissance building with an impressive elaborate architecture, a reflection of Hamburg’s wealth and prosperity at the time. Next stop will be St. Michael’s church.
We’ll visit northern Germany’s most beautiful neo-baroque church and take the lift up to the platform, where we’ll have a 360° degree view of the city.
Descending the original staircase, we’ll see the historic clock-work from 1911 and the several monumental bells of the church.

The next highlight of the Private Hamburg City Tour is one of the oldest, still preserved alleys that is called Krameramtsstuben (grocers’ apartments).
These timber-framed merchant houses date back to the 1600s.
We will stroll through the Portuguese quarter, home of some of the best seafood restaurants in the city.

The Old Elbe Tunnel, was built in the early 1900s for the many workers who needed to cross from one side of the Elbe river to the other.

Next will be a trip on one of the public harbor ferry boats. Hamburg Elbphilharmonic Hall and Hamburg HarborDiscover some of the of the city’s latest architectural projects in the brand new HarborCity by boat. Marvel at Hamburg’s new world class concert hall, the Elbphilharmonic Hall.
We will jump off into the 19th century Warehouse District (which is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage) called Speicherstadt,
where we’ll visit a coffee roastery or sample spices in an old spice shop.
Further down the way, we’ll see some historic and protected merchants’ residences in the Deichstrasse.
hamburg-deichstrasse. One of very few streets that remained in its original condition, the Deichstrasse presents a charming sight and opportunities to return for dinner, ice cream, or whiskey tastings.
See the ruins of the St. Nicholai church, destroyed during the second world war, it is preserved as a memorial to the victims of a war that redefined Western Europe.
Just a few steps away we’ll see the remains of the first port of Hamburg, the 12th century’s.
