Meet your guide at the port. The first stop we will make at the Plaza España: passing through the sites of the 1929 International Exhibition, we reach Central monument and Fountain. We continue to Plaza de toros Las Arenas and Fira de Barcelona exhibition area - Palau Nacional.

The world famous Montjuïc Hill is located near Barcelona city center. It features a large number of attractions including the Spanish Village, the Magic Fountain and MNAC, one of the city's most important museums. We are going to make a short stop at Mirador del Alcalde, which is essentially a spectacular belvedere overlooking the sea and the city, one of few places in Barcelona boasting spectacular 180º panoramic views. From the top of the hill we descend to the Mediterranean sea to visit the port and La Barceloneta.

In this part of the tour you will see Mapfre Tower and Hotel Artsare - the two tallest buildings in the city, two skyscrapers crowning the Olympic Port of Barcelona. Becoming a well-known landmark, located exactly between two towers, there is very beautiful sculpture known as La Dorada, sculpted by Frank O' Gehry. Located not too far from that sculpture, there is much bigger monument in honor of Christopher Columbus, highlighting the end of La Rambla in Port Vell (old port). It is positioned exactly at the site, where Columbus first reached Spanish mainland upon returning from his journey to discover America.

We proceed to The Plaça de Catalunya, a large plaza surrounded by monumental buildings. Barcelona's busiest square is located between the old city (Ciutat Vella), and the nineteenth century Eixample district. Two of Barcelona's most famous streets, the Rambla (a wide promenade in the old city) and the Passeig de Gràcia (a grand showcase of modernist architecture in Eixample) start at the Plaça de Catalunya. From this point we enter Ramblas and continue our walk towards the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona.

Walking in Gothic Quarter is like taking unforgettable journey through time. Not-to-be-missed part of the ancient city, Roman Barcino founded it in I-st century BC. Not surprisingly, this area boasts very impressive medieval buildings collection we are going to pass along the way: Cathedral of Santa Eulalia - House of Ardiaca - Church of St Philip Neri - Roman Temple of Augustus - St Jaume Square (Town Hall and Palacio de Gobierno) - Plaza del Rey and Royal Palace - Plaza del Angel. We take Argentería street to reach the beautiful Gothic church of Santa María del Born which is just a short stroll away from the heart of Barcelona's “Born district”. The Passeig del Born is a long rectangular open space which stretches from the Santa Maria del Mar church to Placa Comercial. This place steeped in history which dates back to medieval times when the Born, as its name suggests, (“born” is Catalan for jousting field) hosted tournaments and jousting matches. It was also the site of the Holy Week processions and early carnivals.

Our next stop - Sagrada Familia - extraordinary church complex designed by Antoni Gaudí in 1883. It became Catalan architectural masterpiece, and the most amazing project of his life. Is much more than a church, monumental and still unfinished, it exhibits the vivid example of extreme creativity and imagination without limits.

Our journey into the Gaudi’s modernist universe continued at Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera. This famous modernist building constructed by Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular buildings in the world, deservedly declared as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With its undulating façade and surrealist sculptural roof, Antoni Gaudi’s Casa Milà appears more organic than artificial, as if it were carved straight from the ground. Being was a genius of structure and form, Gaudi intentionally drew from natural and organic forms for the building’s shape, significantly inspired practices of biomimicry.

Our final stop is Park Guell. Being much more than a public park, this truly amazing place, designed by Antoni Gaudí was one of his first works in the city. Park Güell is where Gaudí applied his creativity to landscape gardening. It’s a surreal and enchanting place, where his passion for natural forms really took flight. The park stands out for its innovative conception of architectural space and light. Today’s most sophisticated visitors are notably impressed by very unique and harmonious environment, and wide range of different materials used for its construction.
