Our local guide will meet you at the port of Ancona.

Ancona was founded by the Greeks in the 4th century BC. The city was of a great splendor during the emperor Hadrian period. Thanks to the expansion of its port, the city became an important economic, commercial and strategic center.

The bus will drive us towards Monte Guasco, where we will enjoy a panoramic visit. We will make a stop to visit the Cathedral of St Ciriac (exterior visit), built in the twelfth century. The cathedral includes elements of Romanesque architecture, Byzantine and even Gothic style.

Like many other cities, Ancona is divided between the old town and the modern city. The historical center of the city houses numerous and beautiful monuments of different architectural periods (neoclassical to baroque).

Throughout the old town, contemplate the Santa Marial square, the Bosdari palace, today an art gallery (external visit).

Continuation through Plebiscito Square and Loggia Square, where is the theater (exterior visit), Stracca Square, the Palace of the Elders (External visit) and the Church of Jesus; a jewel of the neoclassical style (exterior visit). Then, our cultural walk will head us through the Senate Square, the amphitheater and the Ferreti Palace, today an archaeological museum.

End of the tour with a visit to the Piazza Roma, where the beautiful fountain dei Cavalli is located.
