Starting tour at the port of Almeria. Almeria is a spanish city located in the Autonomous region of Andalusia. Almeria was founded in 955 A.D. for Abderramán III. Inside its artistic historical patrimony we emphasize the Moslem Citadel, an ancient Arab fortitude of the XIth century, where there raise the Walls of Jairán, the Cathedral Fortaleza of the Embodiment, the English Cable and the Museum of Almeria. The city of Almeria emphasizes for its variety museum studies of big artistic, ethnological and cultural interest. Not less important are its theaters like the Theater Cervantes located in an eclectic building with elements neobarrocos and academicistas or the most ancient of all, the Theater Apollo construído in the XIXth century. The most ancient civil building of Almeria is the Hospital of Santa Maria Magdalen of the middle of the XVIth century and the ancient cloister of the convent of Santo Domingo of the XVIth century that at present lodges the School of Applied Arts.
