Aarhus walking tour

Our guide will meet you at the port of Aarhus.

We will start our tour of the Aarhus Bay and its University, founded in 1928, the second largest in Denmark.

Aarhus, second city of the country and one of the oldest, is the main port of Denmark located on the Jutland peninsula. It has about 300,000 inhabitants although in the region they inhabit almost 800,000. It enjoys a large forest area and is also essential for Danish transport.

The cathedral (13th century) and the bishopric (951) are the most outstanding symbols of the city and some of the most important in Denmark. It is also the place chosen by the Queen of Denmark as a holiday residence.

We will continue with the visit of the Cathedral of Aarhus, built in the 12th century dedicated to St. Clement, patron of the sailors. Known for its long history an also for its treasures like the interesting frescoes and the altarpiece, unique. The history of the city unfolds on our walk through the ancient streets from Aros to Aarhus.

Among other places we will see the Marselisborg Palace and the Memorial Park.

Before the end of the tour, we will cross the city to see outside the Auditorium, the Museum of Art and the City Hall.
